  • Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil

  • Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente

  • Drain the pasta and set aside

  • Prepare the Bolognese Sauce

  • In a large skillet or saucepan, heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat

  • Add chopped onions and garlic, and sauté until they become translucent

  • Cook the Ground Beef

  • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks

  • Add Vegetables

  • Stir in the grated carrot and chopped celery. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables are softened

  • Prepare Tomato Base

  • Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, and dried basil to the skillet. Mix well

  • Pour in the beef broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring the mixture to a simmer

  • Simmer and Cook

  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the sauce simmer for at least 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Stir occasionally

  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary

  • Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked spaghetti

  • Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil or parsley if desired.
